We want to make it colorful and entertaining to match with the theme if our movie.  Working Title: The title of our film will be called "Drug Island" Title Entering and Exit: The titles will pop into the screen when characters show up, we want the background to be videos of the characters in action so it gives an introduction into the movie. The exiting of the titles will either be them swiping out of the screen or them simply fading into the scene.   Title Timing: The titles will be on the screen for about four seconds each, the only title that will be on for further time will be the name of our production studio.  Name of the Studio: Della Production Studios  Actors Names:  Ella Wills Dellana Radzwill Sophia Radzwill Mason Carlini Music by: Unsure

We will always have an adult figure with us when filming so all goes smoothly and so there is someone responsible at all times.  On our "set" we will include an emergency kit that will be supplied with bandaids, rubbing alcohol, swabs, and cotton incase of any wounding during scenes. For the more dangerous scenes where our actors will be in places like airports with random people, we will have two adults there to keep watch. As for scenes where our actors have to run or fall, we will make sure that we have an emergency kit in case of anyone getting hurt. Location:  We will be filming in multiple different areas, this includes the airport, the beach,

Title research: Suicide Squad

Image
The last movie that we decided to research was the very well known movie Suicide Squad. This movie was a huge movie in 2016 and was loved by everyone all around the world. The closing title sequence contained how a movie or television show presents its title, key production elements, and cast members using visuals and sound. They included the director, the actors, screenplay maker, screen story maker, the producers, editors, and other important figures in the making of the movie. This is important because it gives acknowledgement to the people who contributed big parts into making the movie. The images produced in the title sequence for this movie were many shots zooming back into different scenes and important places. The title sequence is very colorful and is a zoom out through jail cells, guns, villains, skulls, weapons, etc. The title sequence is relevant to the movie because it has all things that are widely used in the movie. The sound for the title sequence is the song "He

Title research: Shang-Chi

Image
The next movie we decided to do research on was the movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We chose this movie because its a well known action movie that is very high rated and the title sequence for this movie was absolutely astonishing. This movie's title sequence describes how a movie or television show presents its title, key production elements, and cast members using visuals and sound. They included the director, the actors, screenplay maker, screen story maker, the producers, editors, and other important figures in the making of the movie. This is important because it gives acknowledgement to the people who contributed big parts into making the movie. In the opening sequence there are many images shown, but the main images are slowed down warriors fighting, they seem to be made out of crystals or water breaking apart as they are struck through and then the title of who was being acknowledged would come onto the screen. This title sequence carries connotations with

Title research: Venom

Image
The second movie we researched was Venom. This movie was released in 2018. The beginning scenes of Venom start off with an introduction of Columbia Pictures and a mention of association with Marvel Studios. The opening sequence of Venom introduces Venom and how he came to be, they prioritized beginning the scenes with a rocket coming down to Earth, the rocket is catching on fire and burning going at top speeds to crash. The rocket crashed in the forest and the next opening scene was the FBI, cops, and researchers walking around trying to figure out what had happened. The producers of Venom made sure to prioritize this scene to introduce Venom and how he came into the picture in a dramatic way to provide suspense for the viewers. The beginning imagery being shown to viewers provides an unsettling feeling, forcing them to wait for what comes next. This provides a feeling of disturbance within the viewers beginning off the plot of the movie. The scenes develop the genre of action at the

Title research: Eternals

Image
The first movie we researched was Eternals. This is an action movie from 2021. It is very recently released and it was one of the best rated action movies in 2021 to be released. We watched the first nine minutes of the movie to watch the opening scenes and we noticed many things. The titles shown during the opening sequence began with the opening of Marvel Studios, then proceeded to have no captioning. In the opening scenes of the movie, the scenes that are prioritized are showing the main characters to introduce you. They also make sure to include the dramatic scenery behind them of what's to come in the movie so that there is suspense provided for the viewer to want to watch more. The connotation these scenes provide is suspense, this is because they want the viewers to lean into their scene to look forward to what's to come in the movie. The feeling of suspense provides an eager want to get deeper into the movie. Due to the dramatic music, the darker lighting, the backgrou

The design websites

Image
We began to research opening title sequences and title designs. We chose two websites to research: https://www.artofthetitle.com https://www.watchthetitles.com In the first website Art of the Title, there were many opening sequences. We researched the sequences that surrounded action movies to see what would best fit our genre. We researched this website because there were many different options of sequences that could perfectly fit with our movie scenes. The title sequence is a powerful way to express motion graphics. It sets the scene for the film. In movies, TV shows, or Web animation, they engage the audience by hinting at what is approaching. A title sequence's primary function is to set the mood for the movie you are about to watch. In Art of The Title, we found many different opening sequences to perfectly fit our movie. One sequence in particular was the opening title of Godfather of Harlem, the title sequence was perfect and there was amazing editing that made it particul

convention research (Black Panther)

Image
For this last researched movie we decided to go with a world wide favorite. No other than Black Panther. This movie did crazy numbers all over the globe. It was a world renowned fantastic action movie. These are just a few of the many reasons we decided to research this movie more in depth. To start some elements of this movie we are choosing to base our film around are the powerful people in this movie. In kindgom Wakanda there are fierce and brave fighters that help protect others and there home. In our film we want to use this element but with two women bestfriends that are fighting to help keep people safe. There was a lot to love about this movie but I would say that the best part was that the movie had fierce people not only just the characters but the actual actor’s themselves. It was inspiring to so many people and got a lot of attention from around the world. Some aspects that we will not include is the fact it is based on a different planet or galaxy. Our setting will simp

convention research (Spider man Far From Home)

Image
So the next movie we researched was Spider Man Far From Home. This is actually one of my favorite movies. I am definitely a fan of all Spider man movies, but this one is in my top three for sure. So I figured this would be a good movie to research about as I know a lot about the series. The elements we chose to base our final task on that this movie has, is the adventure aspect. In this specific movie Spider Man (Peter Parker) travels with his school on a Europe holiday. They visit different places. So in our film there is a travel aspect as well. We are going to an island In our film so this was perfect. The aspects of this movie I liked the best were that it was nothing like the other Spider Man movies at all. I love how they showed cool historic landmarks all throughout Europe. I also liked how the villain was double crossing the good guys. This was very well put together and thought out. Although, one of the aspects I did not like and we definitely not include in our movie is th

convention research (Avengers Endgame)

Image
When researching some recent action movies, we wanted to research one we have seen before. This is why we chose Avengers Endgame. Avengers Endgame came out in 2019 and was a big hit in the Marvel fan base for sure. In our movie of course it’s going to be an action movie. Endgame has many elements that we would like to do similar in our film. The camera angles in this movie are similar to the ones we will include in ours. There is a constant shock in the storyline of this movie and that is what we want to use in ours as well. Like said before, we want to keep the viewers engaged while watching. Helping them keep interested, and wanting to know more. This is a big thing in action movies. Some elements that I enjoyed or liked in this movie was the different scenery. There was many different settings all making sense somehow. All the characters formed into one setting together at the end of the movie. This was a pretty cool element. Although, one thing about this movie that i would say I

lights, camera, ACTION!

Image
My partner in this project and I have come to a decision on what genre we would like to use for our film. We are choosing action! We chose action for many reasons with a couple being, we thought we could incorporate more detail in the two minute video, creating suspense, and really getting the viewers attention. I know what your thinking, you could do this with most genres, but action will be the most efficient for this film. The other genre we were going to attempt was horror/thriller. We decided to not do this as we feel that tons of other people will do this genre. We want to stand out in our film not be the same as others. During filming we are going to make sure to incorporate the angles we found were most common for action movies during our research. We found that these angles will fit very well in filming. Another reason behind our choice in action is that again, is a really good attention grabber where we can use a plot to want the viewers to be entertained. The goal is for pe

genre research (thriller)

Image
The research behind the Thriller genre has led me to believe that this genre could have been our genre, however it doesn't match all the credentials. I began by researching the different types of camera work used in thriller movies, the most used angles are Canted Angle shots, Close-Ups, Two-Shots, Wide-Angle Shots and Mid Shots. Thrillers typically use these different camera techniques to bring out elements of suspense and tension. These filming angles also highlight the actions and fears of the actors when being approached by the antagonist. Different types of camera angles show different scenes, there are some for chaotic scenes, sad scenes, and the calm opening scenes. These camera angles create lots of fear and suspense which is exactly what the producers are looking for. In Thriller movies there are also completely different Technical Elements, costumes, props and settings, lightings, and sounds. Conventionally, the characters have a completely different attire in thriller m

genre research (action)

Image
Hello again, The next genre that we researched was action. Everyone loves a good action movie. I found a lot of things action movies tend to have that other genres do not. An action movie in many circumstances have a problem that doesn’t really happen in reality, but have someone who steps up to help the issue or conflict. They also tend to have a fast-moving plot, usually containing forms of violence. Action movies tend to have people on the edge of their seat, because it can take you into a completely different reality. It really makes you think what would happen if this was actually real. some essential camera angles in the action filmmaking are establishing shots, long shots, wide angles, medium shots, extreme close up, two shot and over the shoulder. Of course there are more shots that these filmmakers use but these are the most common. in the action genre suspense is key, this helps the viewer keep interest on the movie and help them want to know what happens next. Like in all m

Genre Research (Romance)

Image
The first genre we chose to research was romance. Typically, in romance films there are many different camera angles, editing, and sounds. I researched three different movies with the genre of romance, Twilight, After, and Adrift. In every movie, there is some type of downfall where something goes wrong between the main characters who are in the relationship. In romance movies the most used camera angles were close-ups, shoulder level shots, long shots, and eye level shots. For the close ups, it causes a more dramatic effect for viewers to see a more emotional view behind the eyes of the actors, then with shoulder level shots, it gives a better view of body language and facial movements so that the viewers can establish an idea of what the actors are feeling. In the long shots, this showed the backgrounds of the characters and what settings they were in so the viewer can get a better understanding of what's going on, and lastly the eye level shots provide a deep connection to the

pitch blog

pitches: Pitch A: Two cop bestfriends go on a vacation to catch a drug dealing man, little do they know the true hidden secrets of the island.  Pitch B: Two girls discover an abandoned hotel, they get trapped and have no idea what they got themselves into. Explanation on pitch A: My partner Dellana and I were discussing what ideas we could do only having two people in our group. I came up with this idea because it was very easily accessible for us since we live in Florida, and can easily portray an island scene. We discussed also to bring my boyfriend into our film, he would play the part of the drug dealer. Also, one of dellana’s classes she has easy access to lots of filming cameras and tripods so that we would have easier ways to film. We also might ask for some help along the way from our fellow classmates. Dellana and I would play the main characters as the best friends, traveling to this island on an undercover mission to catch the drug dealer. We would use our local beach to fi
