Editing Skateboarding clips

Hello again! So today In class we finished our editing! We are so happy with the outcome. I edited the skateboarding clips, while my group found a good song for the commercial. I took the first clip where Darrow was skating and the clip was from his knees and down. I cut the clip and made it a quick transition. For the next clip we slowed it down to make it more dramatic. We also slowed it down to make it look more skilled. Skating is very hard and especially in school, so we didn’t do a lot of hard tricks just for safety. I took a lot of the clips and cut them because they were pretty long. Like I said while I was doing this they picked out a song. They picked out a song by Kanye West, called “No Child Left Behind”. It is a good inspirational song that is good for a sporty commercial like this. At the very end we added the clip of Darrow jumping high in the air outside. We edited the Red Bull slogan on the picture and put wings on him to fit the slogan. We froze the clip so it is slow motion then stops. It is a great way to end the commercial and give that last bit of advertisement. I can’t wait to share it with the next blog. We worked very hard on it. This was a great practice for all the editing we will be doing this year and was a fun experience.
