  For this assignment I will be working solo. I find that when I work on my own I understand the material more. It also tests my abilities to do work on my own. I actually prefer it this way anyway. All of last year I worked in groups and found due dates quite challenging. While this year, I am going to try a new approach, by working alone. This will really show me what I can do on my own and not depend on my peers for help on anything. After all, this is my second year doing this so Im very excited to test my knowledge.   Hi there, my name is Ella Wills, I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. This year I am excited to be back in school with my teachers and classmates, but now in A Level!  I am seventeen years old, 18 in 4 days actually. I like to think of myself as an outgoing person, but I do enjoy the company of myself more than anything. I consider myself pretty independent. I do really love to spend time with my family as well. I live with my stepdad and mom. My dad lives in Ireland and is still very close to me. I visit him twice a year there and its very fun. My mom is from England and we also visit there a lot too, as all my family is in the UK. I absolutely love it over there. When I'm older I would like to explore more on that side of the world. I definitely have a passion for travel.    Hello again! Today was pretty good with getting work done. Dellana and I are working very well together and are very productive. Over the past couple of days especially we have been filming the last bits and pieces of our movie. The process as you know has been challenging, but we got it done in the end. There was some minor issues with sound so we went ahead and re filmed those. This definitely was frustrating because we thought everything would have been okay. It turns it like we said last time the wind was really heavy so it was hard to hear our lines. Although this was difficult we knew we had no other choice. We improved the scene as well by getting better lighting and making sure we were in a non windy area. Let’s just say it definitely wasn’t a one take process!  We have only about two days left to our production and the pressure is rising. We started off pretty behind filming wise due to weather and our availability to film. However, we pushed through and got it done. We finished our filming, did our editing, added the music, added the subtitles, now all that's left to do is tweak it to be perfect. Dellana and I were thinking about reshooting one of our scenes at the beach because we felt like the audio didn't sound well. It was very windy. We ended up reshooting yesterday and we deleted the old clip and added it into our film. The only thing we had to edit was the transitioning between the scenes and we had to read the captioning. We tweaked very small details in our editing such as sizing with the subtitling captions, placement, and lighting of certain scenes. The lighting in the staircase scene was absolutely horrid so we had to use an app to change the lighting to be somewhat darker to make the scene look more subtle. We were deba...

  It’s almost that time! Dellana and I are so excited to say that we are almost done with our movie journey ! We ran into some problems on the way with all of it. Although we still pushed through and got the editing done. We had some problems with adding the music and sound effects. Unfortunately they were not linking properly to the movie. We tried many options to get it to work and all of them failed. We then began to panic a little bit. We looked up some videos on youtube to try and help us. We finally found one that was helpful. We proceeded back to editing and it finally worked! Unfortunately that wasn’t all. Then some clips disappeared while editing as well. We recovered them thank goodness. We were a little stressed to say the least over everything that had been going on. After we managed to fix everything, we were very relieved. This was just a minor bump that we needed to overcome.   Today was an exciting day for us! We actually chose some of the music for our movie. This took us a while to find because of copyright issues. There is a lot of choice on youtube but we couldn’t quite fine the one we wanted. It had to be a sort of suspenseful sound. We looked for days trying to find one that matched well. We came to a decision of a couple good ones and we chose between them and picked the one that fit the mood the best. We needed to find multiple. Each particular scene needed some sort of background noise or music. Island music was necessary because it was used a lot when writing the script. When finding good island music on youtube we stumbled upon a lot of good options. During the process we chose a good one that was again free of copyright. Although we found them pretty easy on youtube, we were confused to as how we were supposed to put them on the movie. We then did final research on how we were supposed to add them on our clips.  Today was a horrible day. Ella and I met up to finish our editing and all of the work we did had not been saved. Everything deleted, all of our editing and progress deleted so we had to restart the entire process. Luckily, after our mistake of deleted a scene last time, we saved all of our footage in a special file on my computer so it would be easily accessible. However, we had to go through all of our videos again and choose the ones we liked. We also had to reorganize everything and reload it back into order into the iMovie app. After we got all of the downloading done, we got to work on redoing our transitions. This entire beginning process took us almost an hour and a half due to the amount of work we lost from the last day of editing.  Hello! We finally are almost done with our project. It's so relieving. We began our editing today. We began by downloading all of the videos and files onto my computer to sort through them all. There were many scenes we messed up in so we had to delete those and make sure we got the perfect scenes to put into our video. It was a lot of work because we had to reshoot so many scenes continuously because we could not keep it together while filming, we would start laughing or mess up our lines. We finally got all of the files downloaded into the iMovie app. We didn't do much editing like adding the wording and adding music, however we did get all of our clips in order. We cut the clips to be perfect length and added seamless transitioning to make the intro look more professional. As we were going through the clips we realized that we accidentally completely deleted one of our scenes so the next day we had to go reshoot it.    I’m back with some better news than last time. I’m very excited to say that we actually could film! Ah finally a day with no rain and just sunny as can be. We were so happy and felt very successful when we got the shots we needed this day. We went to the beach early so there was not a lot of people. This was a big factor because we didn’t want it to be completely packed. It definitely wasn’t a quick shoot. This actually ended up taking over an hour or so. The lighting was really good but almost too bright. In the end we finally ended up getting what we needed. It looks very professional and we are very happy with the outcome. The next filming we will most likely be doing is the airport scenes. As spring break is approaching and dellana and I will be away. We both have an opportunity to film on the plane.    So as you can probably tell by the tittle, it was raining today! We had plans to film at the beach after school today to get some clips but we couldn’t. Although we couldn’t film, we didn’t want the day to go to waste. So we went to a coffee shop and jotted down some more ideas of what we can add to our film, like props, costumes, etc. The beach was also very busy from spring breakers so this also was a reason to not film today. We did make plans to raincheck (literally) for our filming at the beach. We both have set aside time out of our weekend to do so. The weather in Florida has been all over the place right now, but I hope we get some good weather this weekend. We have a lot of work to do!  Hello again! I am very excited to say that today was our first day of filming! We didn't get a lot done..however we did start on the process. The scenes we started on were scenes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The settings for these first scenes were the airport, in a "taxi", and in a hotel. The first scene was filmed in the airport, we had Dellana and I going through the airport as well as "checking in" for our flight departure. The scenes in the airport were particularly difficult to film because there were many people around that were in the way. It was very awkward having to explain to staff that we were filming for a project and it was even worse for normal people trying to simply get their check-in done. The plane scene we haven't shot yet because we are waiting for spring break when we will be on an actual plane. Which requires a lot more work and time and we were limited on time. In the first storyboard we have the entry into the movie, the beginning is Dellana and I entering Florida (the vacation) after the scenes on the plane. These scenes begin to show the atmosphere and setting that the story begins.  The second storyboard is Dellana and I introducing another setting where the drama begins, the setting is a hotel. Mysterious things begin to start and I become suspicious and Dellana is trying to calm me down.  The third storyboard is where the Antagonist is introduced and how he enters the setting and story. The setting is still continuing in the hotel but the tension of the story begins to rise as dellana leaves the room alone. The fourth storyboard is where dellana begins to find and follow the antagonist, however the viewers are in suspense because the scenes don't go into much detail besides for me in suspicion.  The second movie we researched was Venom. This movie was released in 2018. The beginning scenes of Venom start off with an introduction of Columbia Pictures and a mention of association with Marvel Studios. The opening sequence of Venom introduces Venom and how he came to be, they prioritized beginning the scenes with a rocket coming down to Earth, the rocket is catching on fire and burning going at top speeds to crash. The rocket crashed in the forest and the next opening scene was the FBI, cops, and researchers walking around trying to figure out what had happened. The producers of Venom made sure to prioritize this scene to introduce Venom and how he came into the picture in a dramatic way to provide suspense for the viewers. The beginning imagery being shown to viewers provides an unsettling feeling, forcing them to wait for what comes next.
